First Week of Home Learning

Well done everyone for completing your first week of home learning!

It has been lovely to hear from so many of you this week. It has been great to be able to share what everyone has been up to. The weather has been beautiful this week, fingers crossed it will be as nice next week and everyone can continue to enjoy their learning outdoors.

Here are a few more photos that I was sent yesterday that I am sure you will enjoy! There has been lots of maths, dancing, identifying leaves and even learning about camouflage.

Sending a Hug.

Yesterday, Teddy, Archie and their mum walked 2.5 miles up the Brown Clee Hill to send a hug in the form of a helium filled heart balloon. Their balloon travelled 28 miles!

What a lovely idea in such difficult times! Here is a photo of Teddy with his ‘hug.’

Good morning everyone!

After today we will have done a whole week of remote teaching! It has been different to say the least. I think everyone has done extremely well. Children you must thank your parents for all their hard work! Thank you from Mrs Fox too!

I am missing you all but the pictures are keeping me going! This morning should be Forest School. Mrs Rollings has suggested an activity to do today.

FOREST SCHOOL: do some bark rubbings, looking at the different textures and looking at how different trees have different bark. Mrs Rollings has also suggested that you download the free woodland trust app- British Tree Identification and try and identify different species of trees.

Year 1’s should have a spelling test today. So instead of having a test, I would like you to choose 5 of your spellings to use in a sentence.

Class 1 update- Wednesday 25th March

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone has had a lovely day and has been enjoying the sunshine!

Below are some of the pictures I have been lucky enough to receive. I have had a message to say that children from the other classes in the school are really enjoying looking at your photos on the website so please keep them coming. I know lots of you are missing your friends (the staff are missing you too!) the photos are a great way to catch up with what your friends have been up to!

People have been busy exercising, writing about their pets, doing phonics and building bug houses/hotels! Well done children (and parents!) you are doing a fantastic job!

As we have PE tomorrow your first task is to exercise with Joe Wicks. Perhaps we could all (including Mrs Fox) do it in our school PE kit like Ida and Harry?

Life Cycle of a Butterfly Video

It has been brought to my attention that the link for the video of the life cycle of a butterfly doesn’t work.

Please try: https://youtu.be/3kZD6rlSLUw

If this still doesn’t work, try putting ‘life cycle of a butterfly’ into the search engine. The video I chose is on you tube and was uploaded by ClickView.

Thank you for keeping me informed!

Class 1 news

Thank you to everyone that has sent emails so far.

It has been great to see pictures of so many of you hard at work. Please note that the class 1 email is:

class1@brownclee.shropshire.sch.uk

Please keep on sending your pictures in!

Class 1 PE challenge.

Unfortunately, we are unable to complete our PE challenge in school. This doesn’t mean that we can’t work together to complete it at home. If you can all run for 5 minutes 4x a week, we will have worked together to run to Charles Darwin’s birthplace in Shrewsbury. Let’s see how many times we can get there!

Class 1 Home Learning.

Dear Parents,

Most children who were in school last week will have brought home a home learning pack. I will be referring to some of the items in the pack during the coming weeks. If your child was not in school and you do not have the resource needed please email me and I will endeavour to send it to you via email.

I will be posting a daily plan on the website to support your child’s learning at home. These will be on the website by 9am each morning. If you have any queries once again please email me at: class1@brownclee.shropshire.sch.uk

Emails will receive a response between the hours of 10am – 12 noon.

Thank you for your continued support.

Nicky Fox

PE Sessions

This week was our last week with Mr Chase from Bridgnorth Endowed School. The children have really enjoyed his sessions. Thank you to Mr Chase for making the sessions so much fun.

Forest School- All of Class 1

Please note that all of Class 1 children will be doing Forest School tomorrow morning. They will need to come into school in their kit and they can stay in their clothes all day. There is no need to bring school uniform to change into.

Many thanks
