Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
At Brown Clee, we value all our children as ‘unique’ individuals and endeavour to enable each child to achieve their full potential, whatever their ability or specific needs.
Everything we do is guided by our commitment to equality for all and ensuring that all our children feel fully included and valued members of our school community. A sense of belonging is fundamental for all pupils.
Our SEND support is centred around Shropshire Council’s SEND Local Offer.
“The SEND local offer is a single place for information, services, and resources for children and young
people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities, their families, and the practitioners
who support them. It’s been designed with a family’s needs at the heart of the process.”
Further information on Shropshire’s SEND Local offer can be found here: https://next.shropshire.gov.uk/the-send-local-offer/.
Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-Ordinator (SENDCO) is Mrs. Ratcliffe – and our link governor for SEND is Jo Blakeman. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s progress, please talk to (or email) your child’s class teacher or contact school to arrange an appointment.
To help you understand what Brown Clee Primary can offer your child, please see our policies page for our most recent SEND Policy and SEND information Report.
