Community is hugely important to everyone at Brown Clee School, and we feel it is equally important a school has an active role within its community.
Please see below some of the links we have within our local community:
Little Explorers’ Pre-school

Little Explorers is a fantastic pre-school that sits within the grounds of Brown Clee School. This charity-run nursery provides a nuturing and creative environment for children aged 9 months to 4 years old.
We have strong links with the pre-school – with pupils from Brown Clee School heading over twice a week. We have a transition programmer – where pre-school children visiting school regularly during the summer term.
Further information regarding Little Explorers can be found over on their website (https://www.littleexplorers-ditton.co.uk/). Laura Furniss, Manager, can be contacted via email (littleexplorers.ditton@gmail.com) or phone (01746 712506).

Brown Clee Benefice

As a church school, links with our local churches are hugely important to us. Rector of the Brown Clee Benefice (Revd. Joe Simons) works very closely with school – serving as an active member of our governing body. Joe visits the school once half term to lead a collective worship session – and the “Open the Book” team also visit once a term.
The school visits the most local church (St. John the Baptist in Ditton Priors) on a regular basis to attend services (Harvest, Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and a School Leavers’ Service) – and children’s work (e.g. prayer/poem books, Remembrance Day display) is regularly on display in the church.
Further information regarding Brown Clee Benefice can be found over on their website (https://www.browncleebenefice.org.uk/https://www.littleexplorers-ditton.co.uk/). Revd. Joe Simons can be contacted via email (browncleebenefice@outlook.com) or phone (01746 599217).

Ditton Priors Community Land Trust

Ditton Priors Community Land Trust owns and manages a 30-acre site – including The Willows Cafe, farmland and woodland – which neighbours the school site
Our headteacher, Mr. Harley, is a director on the CLT’s board – and we work closely alongside the Land Trust.
We are currently working on opening up a route and making a mixed woodland site safe for children to use – as an additional larger Forest School site.
