The school day starts promptly at 8.45am. To be punctual it is advised that you are in the playground between 8.35am and 8.40am where school staff are on duty to help and support you. Pupils arriving after 8.45am must enter through the main office and be signed-in by an adult to receive a late mark; this ensures that the pupil is accounted for in case of an emergency.
Child Absence Procedure
Parents are expected to contact the school either by telephone (01746) 712652, option 1) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) on the first day of absence to provide a suitable reason for not attending.
If a child is absent and we haven’t heard from parents/carers regarding the absence we will endeavour to make contact with you by 11am. This is primarily a safeguarding procedure.
We appreciate that it is sometimes not possible to make telephone contact, due to prior commitments or mobile signal, so we therefore request that we have a minimum of 3 possible contact numbers to include friends as well as family.
Medical appointments, if possible, should be made outside of school time, if this is not possible you should bring in the appointment letter to the school before the day of the appointment. At the latest appointment cards should be provided to the school on return from the appointment.
