Daily Activities – 24.4.20

Good morning Class 2! There are some great Titanic models that have been built or are in the process of being built. They are looking brilliant, well done!

Please remember to make the activities fit into your family life, there’s no expectation that everything will be done. Do the amount that is right for your child and your family. If you feel they need more time on something, that’s absolutely fine, you can always skip lessons.

Sharing page & Mr Grinling’s Cottage

I hope you’ve all had a lovely day.

I enjoyed a peaceful walk in the sunshine today and was thinking of you!

Have a look at what your friends have been up to.

Here is an example of the sort of words and sentences you could have written to describe Mr Grinling’s cottage. I have also used the words in a description.

Archie R has written some lovely similes about Mr Grinling’s cottage:

The house is as white as a dove.

The windows are as black as the printer.

The roof is more orange than the lights.

The steps are steeper than Brown Clee Hill.

New Running Challenge!

Class 2, you did so well to keep up with the running, at home, so that we could make it back to Canberra before Easter and complete our Spring term challenge.

Here is your running challenge for the Summer term!

White Rose Problems

It appears that White Rose Maths are having problems with the volume of traffic on their website this morning. Don’t worry if you can’t access the Maths at the moment, perhaps wait until later in the day and try again. I know that their IT department will be working very hard behind the scenes to rectify the situation.

Welcome back Class 2 -Daily Activities 20.4.20

Good morning Class 2! I hope you are all well and feel rested. If you haven’t already, please have a look at the previous post to see what we will be exploring during the Summer term. I’m really looking forward to it! Please keep in touch, it’s so nice to hear from you and find out what you have been doing at home.

If there is anything you want to ask or suggest, please do not hesitate to get in touch. class2@brownclee.shropshire.sch.uk

You’ve made it back to Canberra!

As a class, you have run 356 miles, from Canberra to Sydney and back again. Thank you to all those who kept the challenge going by running at home.

You’re amazing!

Goodbye Australia!

We have reached the end of the Spring Term and so the end of our topic on Australia. I hope you have enjoyed learning about this country.

To finish off the topic my sister, Gemma, who lives in New South Wales, has sent you some information about everyday life there. When she sent us the box of goodies for our cake sake, she also sent you some pencils, which I’ll give to you when we return to school.  If you want to ask Gemma anything about living in Australia, let me know and I’ll pass your question on to her.
