Monday’s Activities

Well done Class 3 for all the work that you sent in today. You are really thinking carefully about your presentation for the work we will be sending to India, I know that the teacher and children will love it! Enjoy looking at these photos of some of activities that you completed today.

Monday 1st June – Daily Plan – (p1of4)

Hi Class 3!

Welcome back to school for the final half term of the year. I hope that you’ve all had a fantastic half term break. It was great to be able to enjoy such beautiful weather!

My first job is to pass on a message to you from Mrs Roy, the teacher in our link school in Kolkata. She was thrilled with your work that I sent about fruits and vegetables and will be sharing it with her class very soon. The schools in India are also closed and so they are home-schooling like we are. I had a lovely Skype session with her over the half term and she has asked me to say hello to you all.

This week one of our topic activities each day will go towards a package that will be sent over to India next weekend. Over the week we will be exploring traditional dishes across the United Kingdom. Keep in mind the dishes you find out about on the first four days, as you will have the chance to prepare and eat one on Friday if you would like to.

The theme for our other topic activities this week will be The Olympic Games, as the inspiration for the Modern Olympics came from our home county of Shropshire.

I look forward to receiving your e-mails!

Mrs Heath

I hope that you all have a super half term break next week Class 3 and look forward to being in touch again soon.

Out and about in Shropshire

Challenge 3: To travel from Market Drayton, one of the most northerly Shropshire towns, to Ludlow, one of the most southerly.

This challenge was suggested by Meryn. What a fantastic idea! We have 50 miles to cover altogether.

Yesterday we logged another 14 miles, so now we only have another 7 miles to go!

Friday 22nd May – Daily Plan – (p1of3)

Hi Class 3,

Well done for all the super activities that you have done over the week. Here is today’s planning for you. Don’t forget, you don’t have to do these activities at a set time or in a set order – that’s all up to you. You could even do the time capsule activity and finishing off next week during the half term if you prefer. Also, you don’t have to be doing work all day. Spend time doing other activities that you enjoy doing too.

It’s great to receive pictures or videos of some of the other things you have been doing at home as well as school activities. I love sharing what you’ve been up to on the Class page of our website!

Have a great half term break. I look forward to catching up with you again soon!
