Schools Admissions at Shropshire Council have asked us to share the following message to the parents of children in Year 6 –

The closing date for secondary applications is 31 October 2024 which falls in the half-term holidays. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to submit an application as soon as possible but before the deadline date. This will ensure that if you encounter any problems, you can be supported/helped to submit your application on time. There is no grace period for late applications. The first Celebration Assembly where we will be welcoming parents, carers and other family will now be on the first Friday after half term, Friday 8th November, not from next week as advised previously.

Chris Maddox, School Photographer, will be in school on Tuesday 1st October to take the individual and sibling photographs.

As everyone has now had a chance to order their tickets for the KS2 performances, we are able to offer additional tickets for the daytime performance on Wednesday 17th July (all tickets for the evening performance have been sold).  If you would like to purchase additional tickets please contact the school office.

Sports Day is planned to go ahead on Wednesday and as we are planning a picnic lunch, the school lunches provided will be a sandwich.  If you have booked a lunch for your child, please could you log onto ParentPay today to either cancel this or amend it to a ham or cheese sandwich.

Please could you return all raffle ticket books to school tomorrow (sold and unsold).  Thank you to everyone who has returned their raffle tickets and also to those who have taken extra books to sell.

We have now received the raffle tickets for the draw which will take place at the Summer Fair on Saturday 29th June here at school.  We are sending a book of tickets home with the children.   Please return any tickets sold with the money to the school office and also if you do not want any tickets, please could you return the book to school.

☀️Summer Fayre and Table Top Sale☀️

We are very excited to say FOBCS and Little Explorers Pre-School are joining forces to hold a Summer Fayre and Table Top sale on Saturday 29th June 2024 at Brown Clee School, to raise funds for the children of our lovely school and pre-school, but we need your help to make the event a success 🙏🏻.

👩🏻‍🌾Table Top stalls

If you would like a table top stall, please send us a message. Stalls are charged at £10 each and will be located on the school playground. Please bring your own table.

Plant Stall

Donations to our plant stall would be very much appreciated so please get in touch if you can contribute. We are asking you to hang on to them until the weekend of the fayre to ensure they survive that long!

🎁Raffle Donations

If you, a family member, friend or your workplace feel like you can and would like to donate a prize for our raffle, then any donation, big or small, will be very gratefully received. Please send us a message or leave it at school or pre-school.

🛍️Tombola

Donations for our tombola (children or adult friendly) would also be very gratefully received and can be left at school or pre-school.

🍷Water or Wine?

Donations of bottles of wine would be very welcome alongside empty screw top wine bottles and old newspapers for this fun game! Please drop them off at school or pre-school.

😇Volunteers

If you feel able to donate anything else, help organise the event or man a stand, we would be really grateful. Please get in touch.

We have been made aware that there have been several cases of Head Lice in school.  Please could you check your child/children and treat if necessary.

The Friends of Brown Clee School (FOBCS) will be holding their next meeting on Tuesday 21st May at 5.30pm here in the school.

They are looking forward to discussing ideas for fund raising and what to spend this on in the summer term.  Everyone is welcome to come to the meeting.
