We are all getting back into the swing of things after our Christmas break.

Our new topic for the term is ‘Australia’.

• In English, we will be reading and writing our own Australian Dreamtime stories.
• In Maths, we have begun work on ‘time’.
• In Science, we will be exploring the many different types of animals that live in Australia and their habitats.
• Our topic will be visited in each subject area this term, including Geography, History, Dance, Art and Computing.

If you have any close family in Australia that wouldn’t mind receiving an email from us to find out about life in Australia, please let me know as it would be great to contact them.

The children are enjoying choosing their own reading books. The children are still putting their reading book and reading record into the blue box in the morning so that we can monitor who is reading at home so they can receive ‘Woody Workers’, once they have read 4 times. These will count towards house points.

PE days will continue to be on a Monday and Friday. Please ensure that kits are in school and items are labelled.
