Visit from Joy Murphy – Karibuni Children

We were delighted to welcome Joy Murphy back to Brown Clee today – as it has been 3 years since her last visit due to Covid!  This time she brought a friend, Elaine, and they both shared with us some updates on the projects that Karibuni support in schools in Kenya.

We are also really thrilled to announce that we are linking with one particular project, – The Wesleyan Empower Project – which sponsors a number of children through education in school in an agricultural town called Njoro, in the Nkuru district.

Joy shared some photos and videos of the school in Njoro and the children, and we are looking forwards to learning more about them in the months ahead.  We are also pleased to hear that the children (and families!) really appreciated the pants that we sent over this year, and we have said we would collect more in the Autumn term – ready for Joy’s next visit in the Spring of 2023.

Here is a link to some more information from Esther, who works with Karibuni to support the children in this project:-
