Summer Term Preparation I hope you are all well, and that you managed to get an Easter break and make the most of the fantastic weather! We are awaiting the official announcement later today, but we feel it is highly unlikely that the school will open normally on Monday for the start of the summer term. If it is confirmed that the current ‘lockdown’ measures will be continuing, then we will continue to provide daily classwork via the school website. The feedback about the work the teachers set for the 2 weeks prior to the Easter break was hugely positive and supportive. We are very aware that every family will have their own commitments and challenges, so please do not feel pressured to have to do everything – a pick and mix approach is probably the best way to go! We feel one of the most important aspects is the sharing of photos and work on the class news pages, as it allows children to keep in touch, beit virtually, with their friends by seeing what they are up to. I will also continue to post a Reflection Time and Prayer of the Day at 10am. We will also be posting our Calculation Policies, which we were going to explain at the Workshop for Parents – please look, as these may offer some guidance in how to help your child with any maths work. Also, if you have any questions, please just email and ask – either to the class teacher using the class email addresses or our admin email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. We are all really missing being at school and being with the children – none of us joined education to work remotely – it is the interaction, the laughs, the chats and lightbulb moments of teaching and engaging with children that was our motivation. But we know that one day we will be back in school – and we are all looking forwards to that day! So in the meantime, please keep in touch, keep watching the website and take care and stay safe!
