We are watching the weather forecast carefully, and so far it looks like we are going to be ok for holding Sports Day on Wednesday morning – 10am to midday.
As the Commonwealth Games are taking part in Birmingham this summer, and we have been learning about the Commonwealth and the Games in assemblies at school, we thought we would make our Sports Day into a Commonwealth themed event. So each class are going to represent a Commonwealth country – and if parents wish to join in by bringing flags of their child’s country, or wearing the national colours, please feel free to do so!
The classes have chose the following countries to represent:-
Fireflies are representing New Zealand
Grasshoppers are representing Austalia
Dragonflies are representing South Africa
Scorpions are representing The Seychelles
