We have received an email from Joy Murphy, a founding trustee of Karibuni Children, who visited us at school last year and took our pencils out to Kenya in the Spring. Here it is….
Dear Children at Brown Clee School
I’ve just looked at your fund raising page, and you are doing BRILLIANTLY! I know you will complete the miles and even break your fund raising target.
Don’t forget to send lots of photos as you run, walk, skip and swim, especially in your animal costumes – although that will be difficult when you’re swimming – perhaps snakes and dolphins could do that!
I will let the nurseries and schools in Kenya know about your challenge, although all the schools are closed just now. The social workers and teachers will be excited to hear about what you are doing and will tell the children when they come to collect food for the families.
I think you are amazing and I’m really looking forward to seeing you all again – maybe next year?
God bless you all and with love from all the children Karibuni supports in Kenya – and from me!
……..Thank you Joy, we are certainly hoping to share lots of photos on the website in the week 6-12th July, and we are hoping to reach our target of raising £2,141 – we are already up to nearly £300!
