‘Safer Schools’

Another year and another successful Safer School Group meeting at Brown Clee C. E.  Primary School. This was an update meeting following the schools ‘Safer School’ accreditation in 2012. It was a really positive meeting and it clearly indicated the school’s commitment to the ‘Safer Schools’ initiative. An essential element of this initiative involves communicating with governors, staff, pupils, parents/carers, Police, Council and this is reflected by the school holding an annual meeting, parent/carer surveys and newsletters. At the Safer School Group meeting, we reviewed security/safety, reflected on any issues and planned for the future. Since the previous Safer School Group meeting in 2018, Miss Relph and governors have made improvements to the school with a new visitor signing-in system and improved boundaries. These improvements were reviewed during the meeting and they have been a success. Excellent work and a future meeting is planned for Spring 2020.
