Reflection Time and Prayer of the Day

Good Morning Brown Clee!

How lovely to have the sun back – and hopefully it will start to warm up as we go through the week!

This morning I want to focus on “Thinking Positively”, as it is easy when things are difficult, or even when the weather is a bit grey and damp and gloomy, to feel a bit low and negative.  So I have a short video clip I think you’ll like – starring Olaf!  Have a little watch and ponder about what Olaf is thinking when things start to go wrong?  What emotions does he experience?

What did Olaf think the moose was going to do to his nose – aka carrot!?!  I think he was worried that the moose was going to eat it – and what a state Olaf got into when he thought that!  He went into a right tizzy panic, splitting himself into so many pieces!!  How anxious and scared must he have felt!?!  Yes all the moose wanted to do was return the carrot to Olaf, to give him his nose back – what a kind moose!  If only Olaf hadn’t been so negative at the start he wouldn’t have had to go through all those negative emotions and stress!

So I wonder what message you can take from this!?!  For me it is, when things are challenging or don’t initially go as I had hoped, pause and ponder, take some big breaths and remember that you can only worry about things you can change – otherwise think positively as things might not be as bad as I think!

So here is a short sunny song to put a smile on your face!

Prayer of the Day

Dear God,
Help us to have good attitudes.
Help us to encourage others.
Help us to look for the good in every situation.
Help us to bring hope, joy and peace to other people.
Help us to be grateful for all we have.
