Reading Cards Good morning, I hope you are all very well. In your child’s reading record you will find a new reading card stapled into the cover. We have used these before in Class 2 and we find that they can motivate the children that are a little reluctant to read at home and reward those who do read at home. If they have read at home and it’s been recorded in their record by an adult, when they put their book in the blue box they will get a number crossed off. For every ten reads they will receive a house point. When their reading card is full it will be saved and replaced. It has worked well in the past and the children enjoy receiving house points for their efforts.
