On Thursday 22nd March 9 girls from class 4 took part in the KS2 Girls Football Tournament at Oldbury Wells School. The girls were very nervous going into the tournament but as they started playing their confidence grew and they all worked well together. In the first game they unfortunately lost against St Leonard’s but they bounced back and were able to win against St Mary’s Bluecoat with a score of 4-0. Special recognition goes to Daisy for scoring 3 fantastic goals and to Phoebe and Holly for being very strong in defense. In goal for the Brown Clee team was Sophie. Sophie was always on her toes and alert trying to do the very best she could for the team and was extremely brave throughout the games as its always hard being in goal!
The girls managed to make it to the quarter finals where they just missed out on making it to the semi finals as they lost to Broseley.
Well done to Jessica, Maddison, Phoebe, Holly, Sophie, Claudia, Frankie, Daisy and Niamh.
