Welcome to our Class

Welcome to Class 4.

Our teacher is Mr Harley, and we have 28 children in our class – a mix of year 5 and 6 pupils. Our topic this term is Planet Earth.

 

Class Rules and Weekly Timetable

Due to the current situation, we will not being doing Forest School until further notice.

Currently, children are required to come to school wearing their P.E. kits for the days in which they are doing P.E.. Class Four will be doing P.E. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Home Tasks

Home tasks in class 4 are to read regularly and to practise spellings and times tables. We currently use interactive online games – which are particularly effective for helping with both practising spellings and times tables. Assessment

Towards the end of year 6, pupils participate in Statutory Assessment Tests (commonly SATs) for reading, maths and grammar, punctuation & spelling. These tests are simply assessing against learning from KS2. There is no need for any additional work for these – other that what goes on in normal lessons at school and home tasks (reading daily, Spelling Shed and TTRS).
