Fire Service Talk Yesterday afternoon, the Grasshoppers were very lucky to have a visit from Mr Bloore from West Midlands Fire Service. We explored the fire fighting methods in 1666 compared to modern day. We also looked at how fire engines, uniform and equipment has changed and developed over the years. Mr Bloore brought in his uniform for the children to look at and try on! We agreed that it is very heavy and hot to wear and that fire fighters do an incredible job in our communities. The children were also taught about dangers and hazards in the home and the fire safety technique – Stop, Drop, Roll. We would like to thank Mr Bloore for his time visiting us, we really enjoyed the afternoon.
